Our History

The Eco Tours company was founded in 1991 by a determined entrepreneur, Steve Chetty. Steve purchased his first coach and the journey as since been a long road. With the pressures of being in a apartheid era and the laws that governed at that time, being in the transport industry was difficult, still Steve survived and made a wonderful transition into the New South Africa.

Steve with the help of his sons has grown the business on a national level by being a preferred transporter to many corporate companies. The company has acquired more vehicles and have extended their database of clients and their sphere of influence when it comes to premier coach services. The company now not only provides transportation but a complete holiday solution for national and international clients to the various tourist destinations of South Africa.

 

We provide drivers of the highest caliber. They are punctual, efficient, polite and professional in the way they conduct themselves.

Our drivers are highly skilled in dealing with foreign and local tourists. They have extensive knowledge on the various tourist destinations within South Africa as well as neighbouring countries. We have over 250 years of combined experience (Incident-free) in the coach charter industry.

All drivers have all necessary requirements for driving the coaches viz. PDP (Heavy Duty Drivers Licence), Passport, equipped with cellular phones as

well as First Aid Knowledge in the event of an emergency. Our drivers exercise extreme caution and courtesy on and off the roads at all times, they do this to ensure the safety of the passengers and to make sure that the passengers have a pleasant journey.
